filing taxes late?

If i know that i don’t owe the IRS any money, i.e., i’ve withheld more than my tax liability, is it okay if i file my tax return late?
What would be the consequence? Is the only thing that i get my refund and rebate later? Or does filing late mean i don’t get a refund?
Nanny taxes — should we do it ourselves or hire a service to handle?

I’m interested in other folks experiences with handling taxes for their nanny? I know there are payroll and nanny pay and softwares out there that can assist. Or should we try and do this on our own or use a service? Where do we begin if we handle on our own?
How can the IRS be used to make sure you give your money to a private insurance company?

Their job is to collect money owed to the US government period not to make sure we have paid a bill.
