Did anyone have quickbooks shut down payroll tax calculations in order to force you to buy a newer quickbooks?

QB prompt says: future updates won’t work, which we knew would happen and we planned on ordering the newer version. But to our surprise (and after completing a week of payroll unknowing), the payroll tax calcs ended on 05/31/07 disregarding any prior purchased tax updates. Our tax update service is paid thru Nov 2007. We have a big mess that I’m sure the IRS would not be happy about.

Yes, this is pretty common. Typically you would have to be using a version several years old for this to happen. You were warned of the pending failure. Now you’ll either have to upgrade immediately or crunch the payroll manually until you get the upgrade.
