Does anyone know what “Legal Order, LTS”, mean?
I have 2 Bank of America accounts, a creditor put a freeze on my accounts. But, I’m already paying them back and only owe them another $500, but they put a freeze on my accounts for $2500 each. I contacted they creditor and they contacted BOA and told them to take the levy off. Now that the levy is off, I now have a deduction of $1,096.00 on my acct and it says it’s for legal order, lts. I spoke to the creditor and they don’t know what it is, and the bank said they have no information on who it is and why it was deducted from my account. Has anyone gone through this, and do you know what that is?
thanx in advance
lol..No Slick, it’s not child support because I don’t have any children..lol..and it’s not the IRS because I don’t owe them any money. I owe Capitol One $500 and they put a freeze of my account for that amount.

,,Is that legal? And if I pay the minus fee, is okay to close my bank account immediately after? ,Can I sue my bank for levying a checking account that deposits are from disability and child support? ,How does a creditor find your bank account? ,Does there have to be a certain amount of money in the bank in order to place a levy on it? ,Can a joint bank account by levied with a judgement in NJ? ,Comments (3)
I believe that this is a court ordered freeze to settle a judgment with LT’S (Lakeside Transaction Services, Inc) which is a consulting service. Did you enter into any contracts with them or have you received a judgment from them.
Usually a creditor will place a freeze before filing a suit.
I may be right, I may be wrong, but it’s all I can come up with.
Well “Legal Order, LTS (Leachate Treatment System) that’s what it means. But I know someone who went through it.
Fabe, I don’t mean to put your business out there but i believe only the IRS or child support can “freeze” funds at least in California. did you mean garnish? You need to speak with a supervisor at BofA, how in hell can the bank not know who is levying your account. that sounds like some sort of Bof A processing fee however i have never seen one so high.
