  1. whimsy says:

Yes, we have to fund programs and most folks will see a tax reduction with Obama, which means that normal folks will have more money to spend.

  2. Charles C says:

It wont, You think he cares about people that are not Muslims,

  3. Bob B says:

Because we Republican politicians know better how to spend your money than you do.- my republican dad.(seriously)

  4. dlk says:

It won’t plain and simple. In fact, it could very well put this Country in another great depression. And by those thinking you are getting free handouts…………how about personal responsibility. You won’t like your Government much when we are headed down the path of Marxism/Socialism as we are at the moment with the bail outs. Obama will just further this agenda.

  5. Michael S says:

First, he would like to raise taxes on INDIVIDUALS, not corporations. Corporations pay income tax separately from their shareholders.

Second, even assuming the tax increase affects some businesses, consider the fact that he is decreasing taxes on most middle class people. What do you think middle class people will do with the money they are not paying in taxes? Will they stuff it into a mattress, or will they spend it on stuff that the business owners sell? And what do you think the increased sales will lead to? Will businesses be harmed by having more people with more money to spend?

Really, I can’t understand why it is so impossible for tax cuts to trickle UP instead of always trickling DOWN.

  6. whats your excuse says:

250,000 is not alot of money for a small business his plan is to tax and tax somemore so get out your checkbook.

  7. sparkle says:

I am a small business owner, the people that work for me are all excited about obama, what they don’t realize, they are digging their own graves if obama wins and my business taxes go up they WILL be in the unemployment line the following week. Yes it will be that quick.

  8. WereTurtle says:

No. Raising taxes in an economically uncertain time will hinder economic growth. Raising taxes doesn’t necessarily raise tax revenue. Raising taxes certainly doesn’t help when spending rises in line with it.

As much as people bitched and moaned about the Bush Tax Cuts – strangely enough, even with the lower tax rates, the IRS was reporting record revenues. Funny how that works.

Less taxation gives individuals and businesses more money to spend, invest, etc. This results in more tax revenue for the government.

  9. Brown9488 says:

Paying taxes does not mean that you can’t turn a profit unless you don’t know what you are doing.

Isn’t that what you “free market capitalists” keep saying…If a business doesn’t keep afloat, let it fail.

Any “small business” that can bottom line a quarter million per year can certainly afford an accountant to find the myriad of loopholes in the tax code…and will end up paying a fraction of what they should anyway.

Quit whining about paying your fair share.

  10. Jug says:

It won’t but he intends to raise everyone’s taxes and more, his so-called plan is like looking at the tip of an iceberg

  11. everythingspeachy2000 says:

WHERE IS HE GETTING THE MONEY FOR EVERYTHING. He is talking stimulus package to people who don’t pay taxes and those that pay taxes get less…and they get it on DEMAND! If those of us want money he will allow us to take 10,000 dollars out of our 401 K….and use that without penalty. OUR MONEY..while OUR MONEY goes to those who don’t pay taxes! It will drive us into depression..there is no way this would work…do the math everyone!

WHERE IS HE GETTING THE MONEY? FROM US!

Listen…the rich will stay rich…they hide their money..they aren’t going to ever go poor. Have you worked for a poor person? NO ..it is the RICH! So we are paying for it…nickeled and dimed to death!

    How blind can they be?

Paying our fair share ??? LIsten…I am 61…my husband and I worked two jobs each and saved and didn’t run up credit and we put our kids through school and college and paid our house off and have two paid off cars. It isn’t rich…we managed our money and didn’t use social programs as a way of life and whined we didn’t have this and that. People walk around with cell phones and game boys and can’t buy food….it is THEIR choice to spend money on things they can’t afford. WHy should I raise YOUR family and take care of you when I did MY JOB and took care of MY family and MY LIFE?

YOU are lazy and whiney and you need to realize that the American Dream is not an entitlement…it is a RIGHT and you EARN IT by hard work and saving and making responsible decisions.

God you are young and immature …I swear if you were my age and did what we did to be where we are today you would saving your azz instead of saying yeah…here take it all…especially those of you who don’t work and spend and spend and spend and then default. I want to see that day when you have something and it is taken from you because of irresponsible people who wanted it all and didn’t earn it.

  12. THE REAL MICHAEL SAVAGE says:

As a person who will be voting for Obama. I can only say this to you as an honest response.I do not support the raising of taxes. However, the only other alternative is a party that lowers taxes slightly on the middle class. Lower taxes substantially for corporations who create most of their jobs overseas. This party also spends money it does not have as if the world were ending tomorrow. This leaves our country in debt to foreign nations. Which in turn gives them a greater influence on our policies. This is why I will be voting for Obama.

  13. Truth B. Told Hot Hockey Mom says:

It can’t. But somehow the kool-aid drinkers and sheeple are buying it.

  14. BOHICA says:

to maybe pay down the 9 trillion dollar national debt

  15. Randall E says:

Raising tax rates cannot help our economy. It is not likely to even increase tax revenues, and it will surely reduce the tax base.
