How long does it usually take the IRS to receive paper filing of taxes.?
I filed my taxes via paper on Feb. 19th 2010 due to having to send the forms for first time homebuyers. The IRS website shows no information as of March 1st 2010.
The form asked for the HUD-1 form only ontop of the normal return papers and the 5405. So thats all I sent.

Probably was lost by the Post Office.
It’s RECEIVED in a couple of days but it will take longer to be entered into the IRS computer systems. All returns with the Form 5405 are hand processed and subject to a “mini-audit.” Expect 12-16 weeks.
Normally paper returns take 4-12 weeks processing.
FTHBC takes 2-3 months for processing.
Be patient and wait–you are asking for a LOT of free money from government and they have to verify everything.
Did you send HUD-1, copy of DR. Lic or ID, copy of mortgage stmnt?
