  1. Marko says:

We have to pay for roads and fire departments somehow

  2. Ron K says:

that list is way too short for a lib

  3. korgrue says:

In that list, how many of those taxes are you really paying?

And some of those taxes go to support organizations, for example, the fishing license tax helps fund conservation efforts, dog license help fund SPCA, etc

  4. Greg says:

    Liberals won’t rest until it’s about 99%.

  5. bash says:

10% more, and you would be taxed at the same rate Reagan and Bush Sr. taxed you. I don’t know why you’re bringing it up now….as you certainly didn’t bring it up then. You should look at our nation’s history on taxes. They are FAR lower than they have been throughout the 20th century….and the exact same rate they were under Clinton.

  6. Alex says:

Obviously more than we are. Obama inherited a 10 TRILLION dollar national debt. We have been spending far more than we collect in taxes for 30 years. This has to stop.

  7. El Tecolote says:

Until you are completely, personally dependent on the government for every single thing in your life, you have not been taxed enough.

And the Democrats are finally getting their way on it.

  8. ... says:

So there shouldn’t be a tax on cigarettes or alcohol?

  9. Common Sense says:

Hang on, 0bummer has much more in $tore for us all.

  10. Mike says:

our personal carbon tax, because we breath, and use stuff that makes carbon like computers, lights, cooking etc…

    walking on the sidewalk tax,

and i’m sure they will find more ways to tax us if they get heath care passed one day

  11. Wooder- son says:

According to Liberals…until we live in a fascist nanny state with a 60%+ tax

  12. Tom says:

Corporate taxes not golden parachutes. Tax the wealthy more the way we use to before deficits. There’s no way around it especially during a Republican administration. Its’ taxation or devaluation- which would you prefer? Liberals never bankrupted a nation.

  13. zombies!! says:

Instead of raising taxes they should stop giving people things like child tax credits.

  14. Jimmbbo says:

    OUCH! Scary list!

The libs won’t be happy till you sign over your paycheck to the IRS. Remember, they think it’s THEIR money, not YOURS.

  15. Slightly Dark Francis says:

Please cite your sources instead of ripping off other people’s work.

Obviously, if you’re in the crapper and still bleating about getting more money…you’re not being taxed enough or both major parties have stopped listening to you. The last gov’t spent you into oblivion.

  16. AnneCoultersnemesis says:

And, yet Obama just signed on to the largest tax decrease to the middle class in history. You guys are never satisfied. The reason why there are so many ‘fees’ guised as taxes (your list) is because of the cuts in federal taxes. Less and less money is going to the states from the feds so they are trying to find tricky ways to get the money without seeming like you are taxed. The inheritance tax, the taxes on dividends, capital gains and the corporate income are taxes that have been consistantly coming down. There is a pattern in that those taxes have more to do with taxing rich people. All the while sales taxes across every state have been going up. Sales tax hits everyone but hits the middle class and poor the most. Especially in states like Mississippi where they actually tax food from the grocery store. Which I think is completely immoral.

  17. Ugly Angel says:

Ask Obama. I’m sure he can double the length of that list in short order.

  18. Brasco says:

All these taxes offset a cost to society. I’d be taxed until we are no longer an international embarrassment. The richest nation on Earth leaving people to die in the streets.

  19. Donovan says:

History shows that times with the greatest tax hikes lead to the greatest production in revenue, and yes, that means paying back the debt with the revenue.

no taxes = no revenue. How will you pay back the debt with low taxes? Kind of ironic how you always complain about the debt. You are putting your own taxes before everyone roses liberty. You support the corporate elitist movement, don’t you?

And if you look at charts, with a 39% tax on the top 1%, they are actually still receiving cuts. While those with an income below $250k lose about a hundred bucks. Is this what you are whining about?

  20. ☠☆Malco☆☠™ says:

by the look of that list all you yankees have left is hoss s*it’ but then its good luck if you stand in it”? lol from uk

  21. Home-School says:

You are only listing the direct taxation. Indirect taxation costs just as much.

When you buy something, from a store you pay their federal, State and local taxes for all the employees and the management. You pay the corporate taxes, the property taxes, the FICA taxes, the energy taxes. The trucking company who brings the item to the store passes along the taxes for all it’s employees, property, energy, FICA, business taxes to the store. YOU pay all these too. The factory where the item was made passes all the taxes on to the trucking company who passes it to the store who passes it to you. If it wasn’t so destructive and abusive, it would be funny.

Some lemming here actually suggested we tax the rich more. We need to ask liberals who suggest the “rich” should pay more taxes, this question – “When you tax the rich, do they have to move to smaller homes or sell their Leer jets?” No, when you tax the rich, they consider it a cost of business, they pass the taxes on in 3 ways. They make employees work harder for less. They make shareholders earn less on investments. They make customers earn less on investments. Yeah sure — tax the rich. If you happen to be a Christian, it is fascinating to note: If you envy the rich, and steal their money by raising their taxes, God made a real time, real life punishment for the sin of stealing from the rich. You pay his taxes.

In the end, when we pay more taxes, it slows the economy and more people end up unemployed. The “rich” will simply be able to hire people willing to work for less.

  22. JD123 says:

With the class warfare the democrats create with our unfair tax system it depends where you’re at on the feeding chain how much can the government charge before they create a revolution

  23. nickson faction says:
