₪₪₪ In the state of Tennessee, does a bank levy only take the funds that are avaliable that day?

My mother recently had a levy placed on her account. Her job requires direct deposit and needs more than a weeks notice to change banks. When her check goes in will the levy take her check? The levy took the funds in my account too since she is on the account, but when I cashed my pay check (before I found out about this) the funds were left in my account.
