₪₪₪ Is it too late to receive an education tax credit if I never filed taxes in past years?

I was in college and gradaute school from 2000-2008. I did not file taxes for most of those years. I realize now that I could have claimed and recieved education credits. Is it too late now? ( I know I can file an amended return for years that I did file, but what about the years that I did not?)
