₪₪₪ My school needs my tax returns, but I’ve been exempt for 2 years. How can I get my fafsa accepted without it?

My income has been low enough I don’t need to file a tax return, so says the IRS. But the college I attend requires my latest tax return to process my fafsa for financial aid. How should I proceed? I’ve asked the school, but they tell me to file anyway- which is a waste, I think. Any suggestions to move forward with this?
