₪₪₪ Selling house, when do I repay the 2008 first time homebuyer credit?
I received the 2008 first time home buyer credit after buying my house June 2008. I am now preparing to sell it to relocate. I will owe the IRS what’s left of this interest free loan and need to figure out when I repay it. Does it (A) get deducted when I close on the sale of my house, or (B) get claimed on my 2011 taxes and paid as taxes when filing? Also, does it show up as any sort of lien on the house? Thanks!!
