Tax help? I owe for ‘05, and haven’t filed ‘06 or ‘07 yet?
I didn’t add one of my w2’s in ‘05. The IRS fixed it for me (2 years later), and just sent me a bill. Also, I didn’t file for ‘06 or ‘07 yet. How do I take care of all of this?
-Do I have to file a special form for filing late for 2006?
-If I get refunds, will IRS automatically deduct the money I owe for 2005, or is there a way I can tell them to do this on my ‘06 or ‘07 tax return?

print the forms you need… There are no special forms, you just need to make sure you use the 2006 forms for 2006.
you cannot file prior year returns electronically…
I would call IRS and ask them… When you talk to them, have a good idea of when you will file your 2006 tax return…
… and, if you are overpaid in 2006 or 2007, IRS will apply it to any back taxes owing that they know about.
if u owe taxes and u are expected areturn ….ofcource they will take it out of ur refund
File your missing returns. Send 2006 in first and hold 2007 for a few weeks. Any refund will be offset to what you owe for 2005. Any refund for 2006 will be credited to 2005 as of 04/15/2007 for interest purposes.
