₪₪₪ Will judgments against me affect my girlfriends background check?
I was out of work for over a year and about 45K worth from 5 credit cards have now gone to judgment and my bank account (as small as it was) was cleaned out by one of my creditors and now I think they may garnish my wages. Well, I know I deserve it and it is my desire to pay the best I can, but my girlfriend needs to get a background check to apply for jobs as a psychologist for a prison (i don’t know if it is state or federal). The question is: Will a levy or a garnishment of my wages on my record affect her chances of getting a job or getting a background clearance? And how so? And yes it could mean the end of our relationship.
