Will my payroll taxes be decreasing under the new US recovery act?
I can’t keep up with everything that Congress has done. I think I heard they are cutting taxes on individuals. Will I see a reduction in my income tax withholding soon?

97% of american families will not see a tax raise. 95% will see a tax reduction. Only the people in the top 3% of income will see taxes go up. The 2% below that will not see a change in taxes. If you are not in the richest 5% of americans then you will get a tax break.
Most likely my check was higher this week then for the past many many months. Tax rate has changed.

Yes, your withholding for federal income tax should decrease soon. Some companies already updated their tables so have already started taking out less.
